It's obvious to any neutral that historically Labour has taken Wales for granted and the Tories won't invest much in South Wales in particular because they haven't a hope in hell of persuading the Welsh public to vote for them.

Scotland, with more devolved power, has been run by a party dedicated to independence since 2007 and yet they’re still not independent, to claim that Scotland is truly run by the SNP and Wales by Labour is disingenuous.

The beauty of devolution for both UK and devolved govts is they can't point at each other and blame them.

I see your point. Without the ability to raise taxes etc. the job is akin to taking on Mike Tyson in his prime with both hands tied behind your back.
