A quick search on Youtube will throw up lots of videos (almost all from America) of pitbulls and XL bullys lying on a couch gently snuggled up to the owner's 6-month-old baby, with the message the owner is trying to convey... "See, in the right hands these kinds of dogs are just gentle giants". WRONG!

These kinds of dogs are extremely protective and territorial. They are overly cautious towards strangers, which can often trigger an unexpected attack.

All dogs are capable of biting and attacking, however, breeds like this have the power and stamina to sustain a prolonged attack.
