Gaetz was one of two members (of the Florida House of Representatives) to vote against a Florida bill criminalizing revenge porn, in 2015, after having successfully blocked the bill previously.

In 2020, Gaetz was accused of sex trafficking and having sexual relationships with minors. After an investigation, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) decided not to charge him, though Gaetz remains[needs update] under investigation of the House Ethics Committee.

In June 2021, Gaetz was one of 21 House Republicans to vote against a resolution to give the Congressional Gold Medal to police officers who defended the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

In March 2023, The Intercept reported that Gaetz had hired Derrick Miller as his military legislative aide. Miller spent eight years in prison after he was convicted of murdering a civilian during his army service in Afghanistan.


On the plus side he's married to someone called Ginger Luckey Gaetz.
A Republican senator claimed he was showing pictures of all the women he claimed to have had sex with on the House floor while telling other members he took crushed ED meds with Red Bull chasers so he could "go all night".

Honestly, AG? You couldn't make this up. And yet there are some on here who will no doubt claim it's an "interesting" appointment or he's "decent".
