On the game:

“I'm really pleased with the result, obviously. “The opening games can become quite difficult in the second half because the fitness of the players can be tested based on what way the game goes, but I thought we were dominant throughout. To see the players play with the style and personality they did throughout was very pleasing for me."

I thought in the first half in particular we arrived at Peterborough’s defensive line pretty quickly and effectively, and we didn’t waste a lot of possession.”

“The stadium seemed electric to me, on the sideline. It was a brilliant experience. We felt as if we should have been in front at half time. To see the reaction of the players in the stadium in the second half helped; it was really beneficial for me to see that. To see us go behind and respond in the manner we did gives us a lot of things that we can help the players with.”

On Matt Turner

"I didn't know a lot about Matt, but since day one of pre-season, he's been exceptional. His attitude, in terms of what we asked him to do, his commitment and his skill level as a goalkeeper has been outstanding."

On the Colwill's

Rubin: “Naturally, we want to push him to become the player he wants to be, so we can't give him too much praise, but in terms of his attitude and his skill level in training, he has been of the highest standard.

“So we're looking to just push him and to make him fulfil that potential and do things he probably hasn't done before.

Joel: "There is a lot of competition in that position, but his appetite to do the things we’ve asked him to do and his relentless nature of application was evident, and for today’s game I thought he was the best call for that."

On the missing Ethan Horvath:

And on the missing David Turnbull

"We have certain processes in training that we go through that are our code of conduct and David just missed out on one and wasn't available because of that reason. He will be back available on Monday."
