Tanner is a player who needs volume to play well, He'll do the same things with a ball in the hope that it works rather than weighing it up in my opinion. There is ability, pace and he is direct, Barry Murphy obviously thinks that he can make Tanner more economic in possession, think better, and become a bit more than a player who just picks up possession and drives towards the opposition from a wide area (whether it works or not) that's a good thing.
BBM has a strong track record of working with young players, identifying potential, and helping them develop. He clearly sees ability in him already and believes there's room for further improvement. That’s certainly encouraging. If he can stay fit, I think he’s set for a very promising season.
