I guess that is one scenario.

Another is that Netanyahu will decide that the only way to stay in power (and possibly out of prison) is to continue to side with the ultranationalists and warmongering elements of his fragile coalition in Smotrich and Ben-Gvir.

In this view they will continue to try and trigger friction on the West Bank, undermine the peace plan in Gaza and try to agitate their neighbours.

Based on how Putin has played Trump since Alaska then he may think it is the lesser of his own two evils!
