"It's been a good start (to our season). Obviously there have been ups and downs, but on the whole it's been very positive, and long may it continue. It's a nice, fresh feeling. The energy in the stadium, around the Club, is definitely changing, and these are exciting times.
"For those boys who probably don't know the Club as well as I do, it's nice to see them having a positive experience, like I've had for so many years here.
"I think it's going pretty well. I think I've got a lot more to show - like the team, really. We've started well, but there's so much more to come from us. You see some of the training sessions we've had, little snippets we've shown, it's just about showing that for longer periods in games every week."
Things working well under B-BM
"I think it's been a long time coming. I don't think any one change has made the difference; loads of little things add up. But with Brian and the coaching staff coming in, I think the way they play, the demands they set in training, that's definitely pushed me on.
"That's probably an outside factor that I can't control, but it's massively helped me. It's refreshing to have that clear game plan and understanding of what they want from us, clear demands set in training and on the playing field on a Saturday.
"You've got to listen tactically, be in the right positions - which is a big thing for all of us. Then the demands without the ball: the press, the running. There's a real clear picture of what to do, so there are no grey areas. I think it's just about applying yourself as much as you can every day, which is a cultural change from what we've had in the past. Everybody buys in, gives everything, and whoever performs the best, plays.
And on Bolton this weekend
"I think they're a good side. They've obviously been in and around the Play-Offs in the last few years, in the Play-Off Final the year before last, so they're obviously a really good side.
"I know a few of their players; they've definitely got some dangerous attackers and some good players. It's going to be about us being on top of our game and delivering a performance that we know we can."
