The November nominations for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month Award are:
Reyes Cleary (Barnsley) - winger
An old school winger playing with the freedom of youth.
As well as scoring the opening goal in Barnsley’s 5-0 win over Luton, he contributed four assists in three games, skipping past defenders and picking out the right cross or pass for his teammates.
Aaron Connolly (Leyton Orient) – wide striker
Moved out wider to fit Orient’s 4-2-3-1 formation, Connolly has thrived with the freedom to run at players on the left.
Able to go either side of a defender, his three goals and two assists in four games included a fine solo goal at Burton.
Ronan Kpakio (Cardiff) – full-back
Kpakio has characterised his first season of senior football by charging forward from right-back.
The 18-year-old’s three assists in as many games showed his dribbling ability, stamina and a natural intelligence of knowing how to find others.
Filip Marschall (Stevenage) - goalkeeper
A commanding, vocal presence behind the Stevenage defence, Marschall has been the organiser of a rearguard that conceded just a single goal in four November games, with his calmness shining through since arriving from Aston Villa.
The November nominations for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month Award are:
Michael Duff (Wycombe Wanderers)
A second successive nomination for Duff and a second straight unbeaten month for his side, with eight points from four games.
The running power of wingers Sam Bell and Fred Onyedinma has given Wycombe a wider attacking base.
Lee Grant (Huddersfield Town)
Adaptability is essential to good management. A difficult October led Grant to play a second striker up front to capitalise on his side’s attacking talents.
The result was seven points and ten goals in four excitement-filled games.
Conor Hourihane (Barnsley)
Hourihane has both changed the Barnsley style and reverted to the club’s youth movement, of which he was once a product.
The result is more energetic attacking play, flourishing players and, in November, seven points from three unbeaten games.
Leam Richardson (Reading)
Richardson has made an immediate impact at Reading, leading them away from the relegation zone with seven points from his first three games in charge, including their first away win.
He has placed the emphasis on fitness and hunger.
