When they moved him up there they let us in to see him, as I think they thought he might not make the night. In there each child has one on one care with a nurse, but the beeping is going off around you. It was shocking but at the time you'd hear aa beep from a bed across the way, and I shamed to admit it, but there was a sense of relief that it wasn't the child we were with. Luckily most of the bleeps turned out to be nothing more than alarms to alert the nurses to alter things and not a flat lining type noise, but it was incredibly stressful being in there even for a few hours of each day for the week he was there.
