He's not better than Ashley Williams and to be honest he's always been ****ing shit for Wales.

Cookie the clown will still pick the lumbering "Ash" for the Israel game though.
James was outstanding in defense again tonight, some great tackles, plus he can actually head the ball, and took his goal well too.
A true WELSHMAN, and our best central defender by a country mile.
Just hope Colemans bias doesn't cost us a place in France.

Agreed. I do like Ginge (when he turns up) but he's never been that great for Wales..Originally Posted by Baker wrote on Wed, 07 January 2015 02:43
Groundhog Day
I don't really know the ins and outs of why he constantly seems to pull out of Wales games, but my impression is that Ashley Williams is more committed to Wales than James Collins.
No one chooses where they are born. If James Collins is a 'true Welshman' then he should take more pride in playing for his country. Ashley Williams does.
Glad Coleman picks the team.
You just know that, when James Collins plays for Whales it's a sat on the edge of the seat for 90 mins waiting for his obligatory howler!!!!, does get the odd goal though as mentioned which, is a bonus.
Ash never lets Wales down and should be picked ahead of Collins everytime.Originally Posted by Baker wrote on Wed, 07 January 2015 02:43
Also, why would you split a defensive pair who just kept a clean sheet against the team ranked 4th in the world?
Not to mention Williams starts and captaincies a better team than Aston Villa, seems strange to say but looking at league finishes the last couple of years Swansea are a better and more established premiership team than most around them these days.
Lots of guessing, hearsay, and misconceptions (not to mention wrong club) in these responses. Amazing how little people know.
Try actually watching the 2 players in question perform, check their stats, who is the better tackler and header? watch them both defending corners!
Find out WHY Collins missed out on some squads, and (apart from the dubious red card v Belgium) look up all these 'howlers' he's apparently made!
You're starting to sound like Mrs R, you'll be seeing images of Ash in the clouds and teaching a parrot to say "who's a naughty boy then, he's not even Welsh" nextOriginally Posted by G rangetown Blue wrote on Wed, 07 January 2015 13:41
Belgium fans I spoke to reckoned that it was their worst home performance for years, and Ash's contribution to defending was to stand in the wall for free kicks!Originally Posted by BlueArmy 86 wrote on Wed, 07 January 2015 10:39

Williams has probably already cost us a place in France, by missing a sitter from one yard out v B&H, a chance Collins would have buried, NQAT.Originally Posted by Baker wrote on Wed, 07 January 2015 02:43
What have Aston Villa got to do with it?Originally Posted by chris lee wrote on Wed, 07 January 2015 11:30
