I think NO ONE would enter that train pass those fans. How many times did he try? 3,4 times? Wery brave (and strange?) of him.

Racism's still alive and kicking then:

Mourinho is not all bad.
Is this what you are referring to above, BK?
Sorry I missed this. I don't think that the concept of racism changes that much; well not as much as the words and phrases that are considered to be racist. These latter change with each generation for various reasons.Originally Posted by TH63 wrote on Wed, 18 February 2015 23:16
Calling someone a Welsh barsteward or sheepshagger is not deemed racist by some on here who claim being Welsh is not being of race.
Welsh are part of a tribe called celts.
Pakistani's are part of tribes too. Pakistan, like Wales, is a country not a race but saying **** barsteward is racist.
Go figure.
Racist is whatever suits an agenda at any given time. Im no more a barsteward than any pakistani but i cant complain about a race crime if im called one.
I think the latter idea would be controversial - and I am putting it forward for discussion only tentatively. There may be sound reasons to maintain the status quo with regard to racism.Originally Posted by The Penguin wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 17:23
Sorry OP what a pointless thread.
This is very well trodden ground since the late 70's ,
especially if you worked in education.
It's all been done to death , still if it keeps you happy ......
For the above reasons I don't believe this thread to be pointless - though I fully appreciate what you are saying.Originally Posted by BlueWales wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 18:48
Sorry, I dont understand what do you mean? I dont see the connection?Originally Posted by Gwynedd Blue wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 16:11
Sorry, there may actually be no connection, but you said, in your previous post 'no one would enter the train pass those fans'. I though you were referring to the same incident described above.Originally Posted by bk vijolcni wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 19:32
Maybe there something lost in my poor English. What I ment is, if there was someone with glasses, or nice girl, or myself (1.9m high white Slowenian),or Asian man, literraly anyone, they would sing songs about it and not let that person in. (maybe just nice girl...) Its strange to me, that this man kept trying, and trying... I wouldnt, and I dont think any one would.Originally Posted by Gwynedd Blue wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 19:37
When I first went up looking for somewhere to live there were signs in windows saying " No blacks , no asians , no Irish and no dogs " - THAT was racist.Originally Posted by Gwynedd Blue wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 19:29
No dogs? wtf???Originally Posted by BlueWales wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 21:26
In my opinion Racism is attaching a characteristic to a race.
ie as someone mentioned previously calling someone a 'Pakistani Bastard' is racist, however calling a Pakistani a 'Bastard' is not.
The fact that they may be a bastard has no relation to the fact they also happen to be Pakistani.
That's my view anyway.
Maybe I should go away and study race then come back later.Originally Posted by BlueWales wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 21:26
Yes I agree, but the concept of race itself may need to be examined. As I said, I will go away and have a look at race and the debate that surrounds it.Originally Posted by joncandy wrote on Fri, 20 February 2015 21:47
Religious intolerance seems to be the far bigger problem these days.
I don't recall any recent beheadings, shootings, burning alive based on racism recently but religion......
There are many strands to what is effectively tribal discrimination.Originally Posted by Don Corleone wrote on Sat, 21 February 2015 10:15
