Is this a valid political philosophy?
Even more exciting is the prospect of Labour not being able to govern on their own.
Best of both worlds as I see it

When I was being taught political ideologies in University, the tutor did not include Conservatism in the course - and he explained that the reason he did not do so was because in his view it does not count as a coherent political ideology. He may have a point but when I taught the a similar course later (many times) I did include it. But it was always 'the straw man'.Originally Posted by Gluey wrote on Fri, 01 May 2015 19:32
The Conservatives haven't won a General Election for 23 years.
The Labour Party haven't won a General Election for 10 years.
Neither will win this General Election.
When the current older generation pass on and are replaced by the younger generation, I think we will see an even bigger shift in the political landscape.

Of course they are my words as I made the post. The point still stands, you'd rather the fascists and nationalists running the country than the centre rightOriginally Posted by Gluey wrote on Fri, 01 May 2015 19:51

8/10 people are not satisfied with either of the main two political parties, and they view voting as selecting the least worst option.Originally Posted by packerman wrote on Fri, 01 May 2015 20:03
The first evidence of an election can be found on the walls of the Lascaux caves in south west France. The Palaeolithic paintings depict a primitive political manifesto which promises a fairer share of mammoth meat for all, smaller hunting class sizes for children and a free winter fuel bonus for the over fifteens.

If any party had the peoples interests first and not just a certain percentage of the population we could be an amazing nation,if any party are thinking of the country as a whole why such a difference in their policiesOriginally Posted by Gwynedd Blue wrote on Fri, 01 May 2015 20:24

It will only come from the grass roots and the current system needs to be swept away. The only trouble is nobody seems capable of organising it.Originally Posted by jeepster wrote on Fri, 01 May 2015 20:41
