So they have a right to march and show their pride but some people don't have a right to be uncomfortable with it or say they are uncomfortable for religious or any other reason? is that also fair?

    Re: gay pride today

I believe in live and let live, but "Gay Pride" surely is an oxymoron. If they were "proud" then they would call it "homosexual pride", rather than hide behind a word which they have hijacked, to create a fig leaf of respectability.

I got nothing against what they do in the privacy of their own homes, but it seems lots of the establishment are at it, and I'm afraid they might make it compulsory.

To the wearer it serves the same purpose as a football fan putting on an ill-fitting football shirt to watch a football game. One is thinking "I'm looking great in this", and the other is hoping to pull.

Isn't it all about trying to show off your dick and your tits without being fully naked? So surely it's more to do with promiscuity than pride?

The reward for conformity is that everyone likes you but yourself, why should people have to say they are fine with it if they are not for whatever reason? they have rights too, I don't have a problem with it, I believe in fairness, you have a right to be offended by him being offended but he does not have the right to be offended? Can you see the madness of it all?

So is it right for someone who is gay to be discriminated against? I suspect that is one of the reasons why they feel the need for days like today.

I'd say a bit thick. People calling for a 'Straight Pride' when being Straight and not having to be ashamed of it or hide that fact has been pretty mainstream going on a few thousand years, to hazard a guess!

I'd say a bit thick. People calling for a 'Straight Pride' when being Straight and not having to be ashamed of it or hide that fact has been pretty mainstream going on a few thousand years, to hazard a guess!
The only people interested in a 'Straight Pride' would be fellas who want to show off their missus wearing a see-through lace thong, with a dildo stuck up her arse. Besides, they've already got Swingers Clubs that cater for it, and so much more.

I think at least some of 'the point' here is that you don't need to mince up & down St Mary's Street dressed as a homosexual Batman in order to come out of the closet and live your live as normal...
