Last month Slade was talking about the need to add pace and creativity to the squad. The embargo must make that harder to do and, on the face of it, Immers will not add much of either of those assets.
However, it seems to me that a player who was a regular starter for the three seasons before this one for Feyenoord should have enough going for him to make an impact in a team which is only just managing to stay in the top ten of the Championship. It's doubtful if his game has gone dramatically backwards in the last six months or so, more likely, the new manager at Feyenoord didn't fancy him.
A case of wait and see I suppose.
We might as well play Revell in midfield if this is the best we can do.Originally Posted by ★☆★☆★☆ wrote on Wed, 20 January 2016 18:44
I dont think the midfield needs more bodies, the comment re "he will find the championship a hard place to play" is worrying.
I know you never find an inform striker in the Jan window - but if I was Slade I would have focused my efforts in this area - rather than sign another midfield player.
I guess this means - Slade is relying on Pilkington to play upfront
Immers can play up front as well apparently.Originally Posted by Jimmy Jimmy wrote on Thu, 21 January 2016 10:22
Or this could mean we are making a definite switch to 4-5-1.
Something like
marhsall
Peltier manga connolly Fabio
Noone gunnarsson immers ralls pilkington
Saadi
Surprised to see so many writing him off already, based on a few comments from Feyenoord fans.
Given that even on this board there are polar opposite opinions on both Whittingham and Gunnarsson for example, surely other fans comments shouldn't be taken to literally.
Plus, any transfer at this moment in time given the embargo should be welcomed I think
Has anyone tried installing him on Raspberry Pi?

No point in this signing, especially from the reports coming out of Holland, seems very much to be coming in as more of the same swapping like for like for the sheer joy of doing something, who is he going to replace in the srarting line up,could be a reapeat of the Danish influx .
Here is an interesting read about him from Holland.

Reminds me of how Savage was ridiculed by press and opposition supporters - yet he was always an effective player.Originally Posted by qccfc wrote on Thu, 21 January 2016 13:56
the article is 2 years old nearly but makes interesting and insightful reading.
Confirmed subject to international clearance.Originally Posted by Geraint! wrote on Thu, 21 January 2016 16:57
WOL update:
Here's immediate reaction from Cardiff's newest signing:
'I'm very excited to be coming from one of the biggest teams in the Netherlands to the biggest team in Wales. It's always been an ambition of mine to play in the UK and I'm looking forward to getting the opportunity to do that, here at Cardiff City. Obviously it will depend on the Manager come the weekend, but if selected then I'll be ready. I'm looking forward to playing. Back in the Netherlands, supporters like the fact that I work hard, go from box to box, press and keep running. That's what I'm going to bring to Cardiff City'.
And I hope Crosey weclomes him and doesn't slag him off like he did that Bird fella.
I like this guy already.Originally Posted by jon1959 wrote on Thu, 21 January 2016 17:04
