Blimey. Real criminals frequenting this board. I thought people got suspended sentences for first offences but a 12 month sentence for growing cannabis does seem harsh especially if the weed was to be used for personal consumption. Of course distribution is a more serious offence but seemingly this doesn't apply in this case.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got suspended sentence, 12 months is worse case scenario I'd say, no way 2 years what solicitor is saying

I knew a guy in Barry who ws caught with a loft full of plants, he only got a 12 month suspended and a whack of community service
