I rinse out jars and bottles, but don't spend more than a few seconds doing it.
Apparently, the machines they use to separate clear from 'other' glass doesn't work if the stuff is too dirty.

Also, i'd like to add, if people have full-time jobs + kids .... who has time to do this often? Surely it's the job of people who are actually employed in this industry? i.e. IT'S THEIR JOB !

It's up to the council to go through the rubbish of 1000s of homes every week. In fact, why am I even putting my rubbish out in the first place? They should come around and pick it off my floor. Instead they've got me getting all the rubbish from all the smaller bins into putting it into a bigger bin. AND THEN I have to move the bag from the back of the house to the front in all weathers on a night of the council's choosing when I could be spending my valuable time on football forums.
