Hell no. Malone is not the future. Malone is a liability, same as Declan. Problem with John is, he cannot defend. Simple as that. He's not fast enough to be a winger too. He'd fit perfectly in a 5-3-2 as a wing back, but **** that. 5 at the back? No thanks.

Hey Daniel. No I didn't see any of his games, though I gather he played on the wing and not at full back. Though in the game he tore his hamstring for Wales U21 he as playing at LB. Saw that game.
I just think we have struggled to loan out the elder players in our DVP squad like Declan and O'Sullivan over the past because CCFC have done little to raise the profile of the players by playing them in non games like this and cup games. Think we should've played DJ today over Malone.
Yeah, I'd go along with that. Trouble is the only half decent full back we have right now is Fabio - who again can't really defend.
I like the way Malone tries to get forward, but his final ball is dreadful. He has no pace, and is more often than not caught out of position. Look at the success Wednesday had attacking him last week. Don't think we have the answer at the club right now for full back on either side (including Fabio), and I'm not sure anyone from the youth squad is capable of stepping in personally.
