So why can't we play in red but with grey socks?
I understand that as England are the designated home team that they get to choose - fair enough.
But why not use grey socks? Are the Welsh FA bound by Adidas to use full kits and not split them up.
I know it sounds daft but it is harder to find a team mate kitted out in grey than it is in vibrant red. Hence why Man Utd ditched theirs just after one game.
The omens are not looking good.

Hmmm, there was a time not so long ago when most of us her worried a lot about the colours of our club side. Are the colours of our national side not even more emotive? I think this is plain wrong!
Sometimes teams just change the colour of the shorts/socks so they can play in the home shirt ala us Vs Swansea when Bellars scored the winner.
I don't see why we couldn't wear red shorts and white socks.

That away kit is weird I'm not sure whether I like it or hate it the other day I saw a 50 year old fat guy wearing one and it looked dreadful then I saw two 19 year old birds in the fanzone and it looked great. I must be a schizophrenic or something.
That is masterful and prickish planning by the English.

Gee thanks for those kind words! With the author possessing such command of the language I wonder who is the basement dweller! My comments were aimed at the original post exclaiming "the colours didnt matter" - thats all, not that dramatic!
This was declared months ago. We're the away team against Russia as well, and in Grey.
