I've said it before and I'll say it again. The midfield HAS to change.
We have no creativity. We could have Ibrahimovic or Aguero up front and they wouldn't score. You have to provide service to the striker(s) and create chances to score. Our midfield takes responsibility for that.
Sack the midfield, not the manager. Although if he doesn't sort out what has been a problem of ours for years now, then maybe sack him too.
Fred is in the same boat as every striker that's come before him.
I'm wondering, if we're talking about giving time to people, then we should do the same with the formation. However, it doesn't seem to be much cop so far. I'd prefer a 4-5-1, get Harris further up the pitch more often, put Pilkington back out wide and if we don't get someone in stick with Fred and hope he gets up to speed.
