No, what we are witnessing under Trollope is a legacy of Slade and his Anti Football policy. He stifled creativity over a two year period, extracted any form of free thought on the pitch, not one player in the squad improved under Slade, not one young player came through and showed promise, when he left the clubwe were left with a group of players who had been programmed to play not to take risks or take control through initiative, he was oppressive in his approach and the lack of thought and creativity we are witnessing is testament to what Slade did to this squad.
