Thread: Lonely Lambert.

    Re: Lonely Lambert.

Surprise surprise Rich Munn having a go about Whitts.Change the record. He is the ONLY player in this squad who shows even a sparkle of creativity. There are no others who seem vaguely capable of doing a fraction of what Whitts does, at this moment. I thank God that it was only a useless Leeds team we played yesterday - another team could have put 4 or 5 in we are that useless.

I'm sure that there's few managers who would play Gunnars,Ralls and Whitts together.

Thought the same about Richards, he had a decent game got up and down and crossed well , as well as putting in some good defensive tackles, looks brave in the tackle .

Amos was always going to be a better option he has a half decent pedigree at academy level , should have played his first game against Reading, poor management decision making that one , he used to an outfield player, therefore has good feet and distribution skills that is needed in a modern keeper to become an extra defender at times.

He's taken it to another level. Now blaming Whitts for how crap Ralls and Gunnar are

Unless its from a glaring mistake from the opposition then the only other way I can see us scoring is involvement from Whittingham.

Whittingham is a must start. Along with Amos , Morrison , Lambert and Peltier.

Add one centre back and full back and the defence is decent enough. Its the rest of the pitch thats the worry and getting enough points to hopefully add some pace in January.

We are one point from safety. I think id take that on January 1st.

What do you suggest Zahore or Fred?

    Re: Lonely Lambert.

First time i have seen us this season and was "surprised" that yet another manager (head coach) tried Gunnarson at the "10" role. They all must want his guts and determination in the team, but his lack of mobility and worse still his limited technical ability push him forward rather than back.

Is he seriously better at that role than Immers

Iceland have very good attacking midfielders and his job is to break up play and give it to a better player, we don't have that, we have a squad of CM's

Sorry Trollope but if you continue with the Gunnarson experiment we will fail.

This and the rest of our midfield dont go past defenders and link up with the centre foward. Also they do not bust a gut to get back and defend.

If you think Whittingham can play in central midfield, good for you. Why do we fade in the last 30 minutes and get overrun in midfield? Nothing to do with the central midfielder? He does have a lovely left foot. Nothing else. That's not enough for that position.

You are welcome to your opinion. I have expressed mine.
