Carl Dale was my first favourite city player but I think Kav takes the all time favorite with a special mention for bothroyd he was class
From when I was a lad, Colin (Rocky) Hudson was the most exciting and unpredictable. A few years later we were all purring over Ian Gibson -oh how the present squad could do with a player like that today! The great Don Murray used to come out one evening a week to coach a few of us - great bloke ans some player for Cardiff City too. And speaking of centre-halves, Danny Malloy was revered as a stalwart, hrd man and club captain for many years.
Thinking about it, I guess an over-riding recollection of all these and many others from the same era, was that they gave it all for the shirt and left nothing on the pitch after every game. And they weren't getting paid much more than the fans for it!.
Whitts.
He's probably the best long-serving player we've ever had. He's got an amazing touch, vision, a great passer of the ball and he's cool as ****.
