Yes it's a great run BUT most of us were not born or too young to remember Wales qualifying for a World Cup finals. If Northern Ireland can do it then we don't have any excuses. Bale is 27. If we don't do it this time he will be 31 at the time of the next WC qualifying campaign. I believe we have a better side than Ireland but right now they have a much better chance of qualifying than us.
On a brighter note great to see the under 19's best England.
Last campaign we drew with Bosnia and Israel at home, Belgium away and lost to Bosnia. There's still every chance we can qualify, but the Ireland games are looking increasingly important
A home draw against Georgia was always going to mean requiring an Israel or Cyprus away like performance where we either win comfortably or in the last ten minutes away from home and in difficult conditions.
We can also look at Ireland and Scotland's group for the Euros where Ireland and Scotland picked up surprise points against Germany and Poland in what was a group of many twists and turns.
I said last night after the game that if Wenger hadn't played Ramsey against Liverpool and we had him fit for all 4 games we'd have a 100% records thus far
That's the problem with international football, too much reliance on club manager's to make the right decisions in terms of players' fitness. Coleman must have been seething when he saw Ramsey start but not Xhaka
I think the way we play with the personel we have that we're more likely to get good results away from home when the onus is more on the opposition to have a go at us, rather than the other way round. I wouldn't be surprised if we won in Serbia and Ireland.
