I have a Boro supporting mate who is creaming his jeans because Monk is
gonna be Boro manager.
I keep telling him Monk will be shyte for Boro.
Am I being too harsh ?
You're being too harsh matey. You have your " I hate the jacks" blinkers on lol. I am sure Monk will do a very god job at Boro. They will be there, or thereabouts come the end of the season. I'm glad he's left Leeds, as with him there, I'm sure they would have been a top six side. Let's hope they employ some totally useless twonk like Zola, and get relegated back to their real standing in domestic football terms.
D'oh! Just read that Leeds United have appointed former Spain international Thomas Christiansen as their new head coach, the club have confirmed.
The 44-year-old had been managing in Cyprus with Apoel Nicosia, but he has left his post with them to make the move to Elland Road.
Let's hope he's a complete and utter disaster for them!
He appears to be a good manager ,done a good job at all the clubs hes been with
In his first role and game he beat the might Cardiff 3–0
Finished second in their Europa League Group behind Valencia.
Survived relegation.
Took Jacks to 8th in Premiership with a record points tally
Turned ordinary Leeds side into a competitive one.
Resigned with pride
Now Boro
England beckons
Still only 38 ?
With this one you should be saying who he finished ahead rather than 2nd best to. Cardiff City could finish second to Real Madrid but if the other teams in the qualification group are Canton under 12's and Thurrock FC then finishing second to Real Madrid doesn't mean much.
Monk had a little bit of a personal meltdown when it got tough at Swansea but leaving Leeds with reputation in tack (and enhanced) from his next job shows some character. He is not a bad manager, if a gobby, little sh!t of one.
It's a case of if they have patience with him.
I seem to remember, that early in last season, IF, we would have beaten them at home, it was rumoured, that he would be "sacked in the morning"
I dislike the smug faced tw^t, but you got to admit, he did well last season.
Lets hope, he starts off, like he did last season and Boro fans get on his case.
Borough have some good players. I think they'll do well
Out of the 3 relegated clubs I'd expect Boro to be there, or thereabouts.
Sunderland are in turmoil and Hull have lost their manager, loan players, and selling their few playing assets.
Who cares
