He tweeted earlier
'Have decided to call time on my playing career,'
absoltue legend. wish he could played for rangers. rip kev x
Thanks for the memories Silver Fox.
Hero.
Along with Whitts he is my favourite player from the last 15 years of watching Cardiff. He seemed to epitomise the side we were at the time - full of heart and not quite top drawer but good enough to pull off a number of surprises.
My lasting impression of SuperKev will be the way he always got back to cut out the danger even when he seemed to have no chance, along with an ability to continue playing after the heaviest of knocks.
It's very fitting that it's his smiley and passion that encapsulates us finally making the Premiership
Thank you for the wonderful memories Kev - your abilities and heart are sorely missed by this fan
The club should name a stretcher after him!
Fantastic competitor, and brave as they come.
He never left anything out on the pitch - apart from his blood.
Thanks for all the memories Kev, and good luck with whatever you choose to do next.
He was a player who seemed to get better after suffering a heavy challenge. That and the 3 weeks a season he turned into a dominant Cb/Cm will be remembered.
Always gave 100% top player top man.
Couldn't ask for anymore, he gave it his all and he was brilliant for us. Haven't replaced him since.
If Warnock could find 3 or 4 players with the same commitment as Kev we would walk the league.
Each to their own. Nice guy, loyal, half decent full back in his time but I'll take an under assuming Whitts over Super Kev every single second of the day.
Enjoy your retirement SK
Not sure why you had to make a head-to-head comparison between two great players, who both served our club well?
I can't recall ever leaving a City game and thinking to myself that McNaughton had a poor game, or even a below average game - he always seemed to play well. He was like a rubber ball too, he would get clattered, get up gingerly, run it off and throw himself into the next tackle.

Goaarnnn Kev
As I said each to their own. Personally for me I don't have him down as a great player. Someone who always gave 110% absolutely but I left many a game frustrated with the ball Kev had received in a good position and wasted.
Also as I said in my original post enjoy your retirement SK.
He was no Neville brother.
But a great servant
Who has been a better right back since? You could argue Richards but hasn't played more than half a season yet.
We've had:
Theophile
Connolly
Peltier
Richards
Perhaps Fabio as he played there a few times.
McNaughton in his prime for me over all of those. I'd only take Richards.
