It reckoned there are a few Americanisms that originated in the work of Shakespeare and there's plenty in use in the English language that we don't really notice cos they've been around so long. If a language has grown out around the world then we should put up with the different strands of its evolution, especially given its prevalence can be a help.
Anyway, in response to the OP I'd like to nominate people who complain about the Americanisation of what should actually be our second language since what should be our first has been marginalised and outlawed throughout its history. :handbagsmiley:
People eating on public transport
Women who wait in a queue to pay for something, get to the front of the queue, then proceed to spend ten minutes looking through their bag for a purse.
