Shame. Manga has been brilliant in the last two games. He put in a couple of heroic goal saving blocks against Derby. Though he did do one of his kamikaze dribbles out of the box. Would have had him or Morrison/Benett as MoM against Derby.

Playing in Africa on the Tuesday before the Friday night game. So Bamba will be back centre back. Lets home Gunnar is fit then.

My uncle spoke to Gunners as well as Paterson prior to our game on Saturday. Gunners told him if City were home on Tuesday (today) he would be fit to start. Good and bad news I suppose as I expect him to play both games for his country now in a short space of time. Let's hope he has no reaction following such a heavy schedule. CP expects to be in contention for a place on the bench following the Internationals.
Also a bit of a relief we've only got 2 outfield players on international duty, and have good cover for both.
I wonder whether Brum are affected ?
As far as I can make out N'Doye will be playing for Senegal.
Maghoma for Congo.
Boga for Ivory Coast
Correct me if i am wrong.
Can't wait to see Paterson! Be like a new signing. And I'm very hopeful for him..
Edit - I know he is a new signing but you know what i mean!
uhm - why can't he fly back Wednesday to play on Friday?
Manga has never got back from Africa before a Friday.
The earliest flight he could realistically catch out of Gabon is late Wed night, getting into Paris mid day Thursday. Then he has to get to the Uk.
Of course its possible but its one hell of a journey. There is no way he will be playing Friday.
Every thing happens for a reason just like the weeds game shows we have cover all over, one mans loss is one mans gain.
