    Patrick Kluivert's son Justin

Has scored a ridiculous hat trick. He's just 18. The touch for the third goal is beautiful.

Seen some clips of him over the past couple of years, looks like a serious talent. Suspect all the big clubs will be fighting over him in the summer.

Yeah, no-one who's ever looked good for Ajax at amounted to anything

Cornelius looked good against Everton the other night too. Written off by Cardiff fans when we only saw about 60 mins of game time from him.

He was also written off as useless by the youth team he was made to train with as he struggled with such irrelevant things as trapping a ball, heading a ball, running with a ball and shooting.

He was good for morale though as he was an object of ridicule from them.

He was ridiculed by everybody at the club and the joke worked its way to Malaysia where the owner didn't find it very funny.

Well he's scoring quite regularly in Europe so maybe you've been told a load of bollocks?

People forget Zohore looked like he couldn't trap a ball, pass, run or shoot at one stage. Cornelius was made a scapegoat goat. If we kept him for the following season we went down he would probably have ripped it up.

Great hat trick by the way.

He's scored 3 goals in 333 minutes in Serie A this season. Many sub appearances, so he's not lighting up the world just yet..edit...Cornelius that is.

Patrick I think will be a top player. Mourinho mouthed something to him like "you come play for me" when they played each other.

And look at him now. Serie A, World Cup finals, Europa League. I suspect the youth players who, allegedly, found him ridiculous are all doing much better than him.

I also made up this FACT - Cornelius has started 3 games in Serie A

He's also used as a cheap back up for Petagna

I think he's due to play in the Bundesliga next year but that's not FACT yet

    Make your own conclusions

4 in 11 this season for Atalanta. 8 in 19 for Denmark.

Cornelius was a terrible signing - end of. To suggest anything else is bollux.Would he be ok for us now - maybe. Irrelevant we needed a PL striker then not a 19 year old out of his depth which he was.
Had to be got off the books.
The worst thing was letting Rudy go for peanuts who at the time could have done a much better job and has been sold for bigger fees than Cornelius.
Kluivert at 18 looks a real talent - id have him next season as a 19 year old.

Cornelius was a bad signing. However, many here suggest he would struggle to make a Sunday League team. Wrong player, wrong time for Cardiff. However, the public comments from the owner killed any chance of the young lad making the grade at Cardiff.

This isnt the Adam Matthews scenario with Dave Jones. Cornelius was a big money signing on big wages. He wasnt up to it and had to go. He was never going to have a Cardiff career as he was nowhere near good enough and the wages he was on he had to go.

This isnt some talented youngster weve released from our books. No one at the club rated him including the manager who signed him.

    A shocker of a signing.

I dont understand the obsession with him though loads of clubs make similar crap signings - Baston at Swansea springs to mind.

Good luck to the lad. Hes doing ok for himself. We could never afford to keep him as one for the future.

Adam Matthews has gone on to prove Dave Jones correct.

Cornelius was signed with an eye on the future. Not a bad signing if he was mothballed for the future. Instead, he got injured at Accrington Stanley and he was publicly slated by Tan just for being injured. 4 goals for a top flight team this season, 8 goals at international level. Tan, and many fans, were quick to write him off. Sunday league standard is what I've read here a few times. Did Cardiff pay over the odds? Yes, but that's what happens when you are in the PL with a Murdoch cheque in your back pocket. Should Mackay have signed someone else up front as well as Cornelius - yes, and the answer wasn't Peter Odemwingie. And the answer wasn't any of the Norwegians that Solskjaer signed either. A lot of blame is being put on Cornelius who, a friend of mine saw in a game later in the season, was not fit. Funny how the seasoned pros like Odemwingie and Bellamy are free from blame. Bellamy was picking up a wage whilst, seemingly, missing for personal reasons for chunks of the season. He was still getting a wage whilst dealing with it though.

Ah the old eye for the future excuse.

Your hatred of Tan and the club is clouding your judgement. 100% correct decision to get shot of him.

Loads of players on huge wages had to be offloaded. He was one of them.
