I doubt there were 10,000 Reading fans there last night.
3 wins on the trot, play off finalists last year, seems we aren't the only fickle supporters ..
Always thought Reading are one of the most fickle clubs around. I know every club is going to go up and down in terms of support with the good/bad times but I've been to Reading a few times when we've taken up to 4 or 5 thousand and the total attendance has only been around 12k. Then you see them winning promotion and the whole place if full of people celebrating who probably hadn't been to a game since the last promotion.
I'm sure every club is the same.
I know a chap from Reading who is only a Reading FC fan when they beat Cardiff. At no other time does he ever mention football!
Similarly a guy from Portsmouth who I had no idea had any interest in football what so ever, suddenly was Pompey's greatest fan when they beat City in the F.A. Cup final.
I was honestly surprised with the crowd.
I'd doubt there was more than 8k there in total.
2 blocks to our right were half full, the rest of the Stand maybe 1/3 full.
The rest of the ground was virtually empty.
I'd guess a LOT of season ticket holders gave it a miss due to the weather.
Shame is, if it was on a Saturday there would have been 4000 City fans there and probably a total crowd of 18-20k
