Another shocker as City lose to Preston

What a dreadful week in the CCFC world

City have lost for the third time in a week with a limp home reverse to Preston North End.

Seven days ago City fans were looking at a game away at a team in the bottom three and two home games v mid table sides as the chance to keep up a title challenge. Instead it's all gone to shit with three defeats and a quite frankly unimpressive effort from players who have performed far better.

Tonight Preston seemed to have more time, more creativity and more running as they won first balls, second balls and chased everything down. Cardiff made it to half time without a shot on target at Preston's goal.

I made the following tweet at half time

And as the second half followed the same pattern in the 90th minute Preston nicked it. A scramble in the box saw Tom Clarke score from close range.

Very poor efforts from wide men Feeney and Mendez-Laing. Only the centre halves can have any sort of satisfaction with their performance. They kept City in the game until the late goal.

Very disappointed with a soured end to what has been a great 2017 until then.

We have lost three games in a row but are still third and at worst will be fourth tomorrow night. Not time to panic. If we can get a point on Monday then we have a break from league action until Jan 12th - time to get a couple back fit and hopefully a couple of new faces in. I was disappointed with the number of people who left when we went 1-0 down with over 7 mins left - just the time when support was needed.
