Why not just wear a normal poppy?
Fair enough it earns more money but it still seems very classless. The politicalisation and commercialisation of the poppy is all very weird.
This is exactly what the people they represented didn’t want. It was supposed to be a simple, quiet, tasteful gesture to remember those who died in service.
The fact you can now get bejewelled and shiny ones to me is the antithesis of what they were supposed to stand for.
Never forget and support west ham at the same time!
Tacky
At least all the money appears to go to charity which is rare for poppy “spin offs”
Whether u find them tacky or not the Royal British Legion think they are a great idea and I agree.
They will sell big time.
Lord Ninian fell in battle
2 October 1915, Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
Therefore I find these badges a fitting tribute.
I always leave a poppy every year on my Grandfather's grave.. He lost a leg in WW1. He died a young man I never met him.
This year I will leave one of these badges on his grave.
I ordered 4 on that link that was on here a few weeks ago
they are decent enough, my family have had them on since the weekend
