No not Kevin friend ffs he’s awful
Not sure we've picked up a point off any of the top 6 nor Everton including the previous premier league campaign since we drew with United. That must be at least 15 games now. Surely the law of averages says we pick up a result of some description against one of the 'big' teams this season, hence my 1-0 prediction to city in the other thread, kick a dog whilst it's down. Fatigue must be a serious issue now with limited resources at our disposal. Gillingham really couldn't come sooner.
Etheridge
Peltier Manga Morrison Bennett
Arter Gunnarson Camasara (if he's not knackered at this point)
Harris Reid NML
Not necessarily the team I want, nor the team I think would be best equipped, but players will have to be rotated with so many games in such short space.
- Cardiff have lost all three of their Premier League meetings with Tottenham by a 0-1 scoreline.
- Tottenham are unbeaten in their last seven league clashes with Cardiff City (W5 D2) since losing 2-3 in March 1961.
- Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has faced Tottenham in a home Premier League match only once before; his Sheffield United team beat Martin Jol's Spurs side 2-1 at Bramall Lane in February 2007.
- Spurs have won their last five Premier League matches on New Year's Day since losing 1-2 away at Aston Villa in 2008.
- Spurs striker Harry Kane has been involved in six goals in his last two Premier League games on New Year's Day (4 goals, 2 assists); only two players - Andy Cole and Steven Gerrard (5) - have scored more goals on January 1st in the Premier League than Kane's four.
- Neil Warnock has lost 10 of his 14 league matches played on New Year's Day (W2 D2), with his defeats coming with six different clubs - Scarborough, Notts County, Huddersfield Town, Sheffield United, QPR and current side Cardiff.
- Cardiff haven't kept three consecutive clean sheets in the top-flight since April 1957.
- Harry Kane has scored 15 goals in his last 11 away Premier League matches against newly promoted teams for Spurs.
Will we wear white shorts?
Probably the right line up but an awful formation today
It's excruciating to watch...
Massive gap in skill and play-making
We are being totally outclassed sadly. Paterson looks completely lost
Morrison playing further forward at times than Gunnarsson... what's he playing at?
More ball watching and no closing down. I swear to god our players are just over-awed by the big teams and instead of competing we just get dazzled by them.
F**k that, get f**king into them.
Well if that is the case, surely they have to use a bit of common sense and not follow their man all the way into the opposition half? They're just losing any shape we have and there's no way Morrison is fast enough to stay with his man when he makes a run into our half.
Still a problem defending against rotation. Would be nice to keep hold of the ball a bit longer too.
Cunningham absolutely useless in the first half.
Cunningham is having a shocker, Paterson appears to be playing on the right wing presumably to beat shortie Rose in the air with Reid in the centre who is so easily muscled off the ball he might as well not be there. Defence looks wobbly and nervous meaning every time Spurs go forward they look like scoring. Glad I didn't go to this one even though I have a season ticket.
Gunnarsson runs around as if he has one arm in a sling with that peculiar running action of his and just points at team mates.
Pure embarrassment I'm afraid. Just a warm-up time for Spurs. I fear the worst when they start playing.
