Its all good mate, not offended, I know I’m no angel but suggesting I am violent towards my children is probably a few levels lower than even I would stoop to get a nibble
That particular poster has form in trying to get extremely personal to get a bite out of me, yet I’m the biggest WUM on the board because I have strong views that go against the grain.🤨
Thanks mate. It’s nice to know not everyone thinks I’m a complete ****.
Some of my spats with Croesy I probably went beyond the line personally, I’m no angel in that respect, but I don’t recall ever getting personal with the ones who’ve attacked me personally on this thread.
I think it’s rather ironic that the morality police on here are the worst for hunting in packs and abusing posters who they deem abusive.
Christ lads. Give it a rest.
Who cares if Hartley is a knob or not.
Thought this thread was supposed to be about Warnock
FWIW my mate was talking to him (Warnock) prior to the flight before the Newcastle game. He was feeling it then, saying the last few weeks had been very difficult with trying to sort transfers etc..
The guy is 70, he’s only human. It’s a lot to take on.
I think some criticising him have no idea what it’s like to take on real responsibility, and he deserves at least to have full support until the end of the season.
For those who think criticism stays on here and doesn’t get back to him and the players, you are completely wrong. He and they are well aware of what gets said.
He referred to it many times when he’s given his talks- you’d be surprised.
I'll always be thankful for the job Warnock has done at our football club. He rescued us when as a club we were staring into the abyss.
My complaint and it's not a complaint as such, but more of a "wish things were different" is the lack of structure, footballing or otherwise at our club to see where we are heading in the medium to lng term.
That in itself highlights how well Warnock has done to get us where we are.
No I didn’t hope the events of the week would persuade him to retire at all. Stop making things up.
The OP said he was unusually quiet. I was suggesting that’s not a bad thing with his recent interviews about Brexit and how he thought we looked like a proper team after an awful defeat and performance at Newcastle.
You’re the one who suggested he might retire because of it!!!
I didn’t even mention the word retire.
Give me abuse for things I’ve said which you don’t agree with by all means but don’t make shit up.
I understand what you are saying, but we’ve been fighting fires for years and had to sort the immediate problems before we could even think of those issues.
IF ( and yeah it’s unlikely now) he keeps them up, then he may we’ll have bought us the time to start to deal with the longer term problems at the club
It' says on the stadium
We are one we are bluebirds
Football is tribal.
We have lost one of our tribe.
I'm 66 lost a son but I still feel shite about Emilio.
We have everyright to grief as if he was our own son
My heart goes out to his father mother sister and family
I only got involved because of the personal abuse aimed at one poster that was way below the belt. As for Warnock, I've no doubt that he's having a hard time at the moment, he's not getting any younger and as someone else eluded to, it doesn't get easier as you get older.
Even before the events of the past seven days, I was thinking that the end of the season would be a great time for Neil Warnock to call it a day as far as football management is concerned. If he was to keep us up, he would be retiring with his reputation as high as it has ever been and, even if we went down, our relegation would only be seen as confirmation of what many thought anyway (he can't manage at Premier League level), but even they would have to concede that, especially in view of the jobs he did at Rotherham and Cardiff at an age when he was eligible for the state pension, he was a miracle worker at Championship level.
I dont get why people think NW cant manage at Premier League level. With the players and resources we have, Pochettino, Mourinho, Wenger et al would have serious problems with this task. The fact that he has got us anywhere near being able to survive this year is a major achievement. His past record in the Prem isnt as bad as people make out either. The people who moan about his management style and Premier League suitability are the ones who didnt even like him in the first place and never wanted him here and will use anything as an excuse to try to justify getting rid of him.
I’ve said it on here before. Some people just don’t understand, it’s horses for courses. Guardiola would probably struggle to get an average team promoted from the championship, just as much as Warnock would struggle to win the premiership title with Man City’s squad.
Unfortunately, when there has been a traumatic death, many of the people in the vicinity, involved in arrangements or closely connected to the victim suffer from a guilt complex. Even Doctors, nurses, paramedics, police officers, firefighters, armed service personnel suffer this after dealing with trauma. It's a natural human instinct.
He is obviously very good at getting teams up from the Championship but has never been given an extended chance of keeping them in the Premier League afterwards. Also, the teams he has taken up, or taken charge of, at Premier League level have not had the resources to enable him to compete properly. If he was put in charge of an established team and had the funds to back him, I have no doubt he would have been a success. He did have some funds at QPR but not the infrastructure, stadium or fan base to back this up and they paid inflated salaries (not his responsibility) and were in serious financial difficulty as well (as were Palace when he was there) which obviously didnt help. It also comes down to personal choice - he enjoys the Championship and has tended to specialise in it out of choice, which hasnt helped him obtain jobs at a higher level.
