I am very surprised you have signed him. This looks more like adapting to the Championship next season because I can’t see him making a difference to your survival chances.[/QUOTE]
My thoughts exactly Pearcy. Thanks for your insight

sky says no more business to be done at city ?
heard that before, but lack of ambition again for me... (sala situation aside)
very little time to do deals but thats the business, plenty of clubs doing deals... goal scorer was a no brainer, a must
lets hope theres a late surprise

Nope. Not seen it. He did score a belter for us from a short corner earlier this season which may have been against the Villa. Some of the comments on Hobnob Anyone are harsh. As a a fan base we have been pissed of with 18 months of crap. So it’s not surprising most are not bothered if pretty much anyone in the squad is sold.
4.5 year deal?!?!? 😦

Not a good read
How much do you want to bet we'll have to release him to get him off the books in 2021. 4 and a half year deal is staggering, a director of football is needed over the summer.
Who is his agent?!
Yeah 4.5 years is madness. He is not a bad player. There is talent there but he is so erratic and inconsistent.
We have done very well though if we have got any more than a million out of this. The £3 million mentioned will doubtless only applyif he makes x number of appearances and you stay up.
Besides he scored a great goal against you in 2013.
Interesting article on his time at Villa here:

He does sound like a Warnock type - an energetic, uncomplaining utility player according to this piece.
Warnock will transform him.
Bacuna's disciplinary record is interesting:
2015/16 - 9 yellow cards
2016/17 - 8 yellow cards, 1 red card
2017/18 - 13 yellow cards, 1 red card
2018/19 - 4 yellow cards, 1 red card
Looks like he'll give Harry Arter a run for his money.
