In the Sheff Utd v Nottm F game today, referee Andy Madley used up a full 2 mins 10 secs (yes, that's 130 SECONDS) to book a player and whistle for a free kick to be taken.

I concur..
4 mins goes up..then..
every catch the gk makes he falls forward.
a sub..or two will be made.
someone will go down with an injury/cramp.
a throw will take too long.
if there's a free kick around the area the ref wastes time sorting the wall out.

Very true.

In a recent game, Man U going 1-0 up, with 30 mins remaining resulted in De Gea averaging 31 secs for his last 7 goal kicks. The ref did not book him or speak to him for time wasting. I'll refrain from naming the ref.
