It was my understanding that he had an optional extra year. Even if we do sign him it would be under 5 million. Bargain.
Neil Maupay would be a good signing although price and other interested parties could scupper that.
Scott Hogan from Villa could be a budget gamble, even Kodiga if villa go up as not sure he’ll play in the prem

Vaulks, Maupay, Bowen, Ledley all mentioned above. Also Roberts, Rodon and James from Swansea, they'll be desperate for the cash to see them through the summer, and as far as James will bite the hand off on the first offer. £2m, £1m, and £8n for those three. ( even if the Swans fans think James is worth £25!, but they've always been deluded.)

I’d like us to spend big on a striker, Che Adams or someone if Prem clubs don’t come in for him. We need 2 CMs, if we can get an experienced head to replace Gunnar I wouldn’t be upset but we do need to reduce the average age of the side. I’d also like a right back, perhaps someone like Walker-Peters on loan.
I've been impressed by his team mate Jake Hastie as well who was available on a Bosman, but I see he's signed a pre contract with Rangers - think Turnbull might be bound for a Premier League club.
Maybe we can prise young Don Cowie away from Ross County?
Strange, as he spent large chunk of last season trying to sign him but lost out on both Rondon & Gayle because of their switch.
