We've got more than suitable replacements. If any money received is added to the pot and helps get a better quality striker then it's fine by me.
Probably not the only plea the next month #Warnockout
He said that (as a joke) in a pre-match press conference weeks ago.
Etheridge has also said very similar in recent weeks about wanting to get back to the Premier League. The bit that seems to be missing from this latest interview (or the bits that have been picked up) is that he wanted to do that with Cardiff!
Anything over 10 million he has to go , will miss though.
Here's the interview Etheridge gave: http://www.cnnphilippines.com/videos...ack-in-PH.html
He doesn't say anything that remotely sounds like a "come and get me" plea. He just says he's happy at Cardiff and he expects to be back unless something happens.
i think without him you could add at least 15 goals to our against.
maybe while he`s missing the start of next season he can practice his goal kicks, always useful for a Premier league keeper.
Sorry, but I find it hilarious that people are criticising Etheridge and finding fault with his game in one breath, while saying sell for £10 million or more in the next - all of this about a keeper we signed on a free transfer!
Etheridge has been a superb signing for us - someone who can be thrown back at people like me who say that Neil Warnock's record when it comes to signing players can be criticised as evidence that our manager can, sometimes, get things very right.
In our 1st season in the premier league, Marshall was our best player by a country mile.
Last season it was Etheridge. That says all you need to know about both squads.
I think either way we do ok out of it. No need to sell unless the money is really good. In which case smithies gets a go, who was highly rated in the championship plus some money in from a transfer which hasn't happened much recently.
Ideally he doesn't go, we keep a settled defence and keeper and I think we keep a lot more clean sheets.
I hope he stays.
