Can a player deliberately go off the pitch an come back on without permission?
Didn’t he (Bale), do it for Wales at the CCS as well ?
Can’t remember the dirty barstreward who tried to take him out.
Scored at the Canton end
was there today, Chris Gayle spent most of the day off the pitch! The man must have a bladder problem! When he was on the pitch he had his hands in his pockets.
Superb catch by the way.
I have never seen so many drunks at a sporting event.
Right back to the bar
Technically no they can’t (in football) at least. Saw a youth game once, a gk took a ball in the nuts, walked behind the goal to throw up and got a yellow card for leaving the pitch. Ref was a clown, he refereed a few of my youth team’s games too. He knew the rule book, but didn’t know anything about football or people.
The example of Bale posted above can’t be considered deliberate. Seen it in rugby where a player chasing a ball down the wing goes off to avoid an opponent then comes back on, they seem to get away with it.
