None but in reality it's, likely quite a, few post around you where your, sat in the, stadium
There was a time that if anyone posted about Cardiff City on the internet, posted on here or the mailing list.
Before social media, and before people created their own boards.
I knew Forever Blue back in the day but haven’t seen him for about 2 or 3 years
Many may not realise that I met the future Mrs Half a Bee through this messageboard. Funnily enough over a love of music and dislike of rugby.
I've got to know Mike and NigelBlues quite well, both great guys. In the early days of the trust when I lived in Canton I met a few of the posters involved at the time, like TLG, Since 62 etc. I supply Sludge with a discreet rubber doll cleaning and repair service. I have met a few other posters when out and about.
This messageboard, and a chance bit of info, saw me kindle a good relationship for a while with the Lord Caliburn, sadly no longer with us. A fantastic gent with dubious singing credentials, I am still good friends with his son. I have still yet to meet the legend that is TOBW.
I’ve met TOBW, Since62, Bingethinking, Cyncoed Slumdog, Cowbridge Blue and I have also met, albeit briefly, Taunton Blue Genie and Sloop Jon Bee. Neil McEvoy posted on here a couple of times in the dim and distant past and I have “encountered” him
i joined in 1999
met quite a few over the years and sadly a few not with us anymore
I remembered, I also met up with a few of here before a Ian Brown gig in the uni many years ago, was a bloke who was mates ( on here ) with earnies trim trabbs ( they were both trainer collectors, something i dabbled in a little ) i forget his name, jeepers or something like that ? ? ?
talking of people from the past
been bugging me for a while now this one
He was a road sweeper driver from Barry, had a accident when a metal gate swung open and crushed him in his little road sweeper, He was also a part time plumber ( i worked with him on a building site about 30 years ago now ) last i saw him was a game down in swindon
i hope he is still around
Appreciated.
Virus victim aged 96. Didn't stand a chance. Hospice nurse attended the whole of his last two nights. Wonderful, selfless service!
Lock-down meant we were unable to visit for a fortnight.
Kick in teeth: lived in social housing. Immediately after death notified, benefits stopped and rent charged at £125 a week. Can't clear house as tips closed, so the meter ticks indefinitely....but there are ways and ways round it...
A genuine gentle man who it was a privilege to have as a f-in-law.
Back to the original post, must be around 10 give or take a couple. Like Mozzer I joined in '99, when Moggis used to give away goodies for guessing the crowd
I met a few people on here in the late 90s like Royston Blue, Nigelblues, Mike M, Steve Day, Steve Borley, Matt Gabb and a few others. I was the year below Goats in school.
I don’t think I know anyone on this or the other board. Daresay if I saw people f2f I might recognise/remember them.
I did meet a guy for beer in Ho Chi Minh City in 2013/4 who used to post on here occasionally but that’s it I’m sad to say
