What were your first thoughts on reading that post? My thoughts were someone was on a massive windup. That's never going to happen in a million years.
Last but not least, does that original thread still exist?
    Blimey we must be bored.

100 posts on a subject that I for one could not care less about.

Yes it was quite annoying but it is over (ages ago) 🤦*♂️

Let me ask you a question: why do you believe anybody needs an excuse to not attend football matches?

As far as I'm aware, if people want to attend games, they do. If they don't, they don't. Isn't is at simple as that?

He's alright, although a bowl of Heinz Alphabet Soup would make more sense than some of his posts.

Yes I am a bit bored I guess. My weekends are usually about sport and going out socialising. Both of these things are no longer happening, but its no big deal. As long as I have my health in these uncertain times, I'm more than happy with that
If you could not care less about the subject, why bother posting on it. There's loads of other threads available.

After reading his post in the 'are you a good cook?' thread, I'm just glad that I'm not a meal that takes more than 30mins to prepare. He'd batter me. What a temper!

But, again by the size of the gates, it’s most probably those fans that beefed the gates up at Ninian on the odd occasion that are going regularly to CCS due to the improvement in the football quality and then comparing a 20,000 crowd’s atmosphere for a run of the mill league game against the likes of Barnsley to the 20,000 crowd that they were in for a one off giant killing at Ninian against Leeds. And they weren’t there for subsequent league games after their once a season outing. For me it’s very much rose tinted, selective memories.
Agree, although i reckon that 5-6000 crowd at Ninian park would sound much better than the same at the new stadium-under the same circumstances.

You’d have to do that on percentages though. Is Ninian Park’s footprint smaller than CCS? I’d say yes, I wonder what the capacity of the CCS would be if the only seated area was the family stand and the red stand (equivalent of the old matchbox grandstand and Canton Stand but much bigger, which in Ninian’s hey day were the only seated areas) and the rest of the ground was terracing?
The Grangetown End was massive but today’s Canton End would pack a few in if it was all standing. Would be very interesting to know, imagine today’s Canton End, Ninian Stand and lower Grandstand being absolutely packed out with standing spectators, would be fantastic in my opinion.

It would be fantastic. I think that a 5 to 6000 crowd at NP was better (during 80s and 90s) was because that would've been a hajf decent gate, it probably would've meant that we'd been on a run and that there was an air of expectancy in the crowd. Demographics of fans has certainly changed and so has expectation in my opinion and i don't think that has helped with the atmosphere.

I’d love to know the ‘standing’ capacity of the CCS under, say, 1960s regulations. I couldn’t hazard a guess.

Meanwhile, the same old clown clicks on a thread he allegedly has no interest in, reads it and comments on it.

    Same as it ever was.
