The Caravan and Motorhome Club, which is one of UK biggest is opening in England on July 4th, but their sites in Wales stay shut.
Mark Drakeford eluded to the fact that they are considering allowing self contained holiday lets to open, and I hope he says more next week. The larger caravan parks often have permanently sited caravans with their own self contained facilities, so hopefully he will include these sites in the first phase of opening.
I think we will have to wait a while for Wales to ease lockdown on sites that are for touring caravans, as these generally use communal facility blocks.
I think he is very optimistic if he thinks people will drive maybe hundreds of miles to get to their holiday let, and then be willing to spend their holiday within a five mile radius
