A good read.
Though the current crest is a vast improvement on the infamous "beermat" crest,
I really hope that the pre-rebrand crest comes back soon and we get shot of the "ragworm" that we have now.

The classic Bluebird design was only registered as a trade mark in 2020 - but appears to have been the first TM registered by the club.
A brilliant badge, I hope we go back to it
Nice story
By far the most iconic City crest and one I'd love to return.
The pre-beermat badge, with the Liverpool ribbon and amended dragon and daffodils, takes something away from the original one discussed in this excellent article. Again, I still don't understand why a Welsh club needs a Chinese dragon on the latest version even if our owner is ethnically Chinese.
Preston North End have featured the sheep and cross on their crest since 1933. Well done PNE.

I think my ideal badge might be that shield with the old blue bluebird with the dragon and the daffoldil in the boxes up top. Maybe. It might just be the old bluebird in the white circle though.
No to the banners.
Great article and brilliant to have a family connection to the design of the crest. Interesting that it was printed in match programmes aswell before being used on shirts.
Isn’t the current dragon meant to resemble the dragon on city hall clock tower?
