Remember Roger Gibbins and David Tong running things in the engine room ?
Christ
Gibbins was a half tidy centre back in his later years
Richard Carpenter wasn't a bad player for us in the lower leagues
Ian Gibson, absolutely!
Gibson for me as well, blind as a bat but what a footballer.
Agreed Bob. That Ninian pitch was legendary. I remember when the only bit of grass left was a tiny patch by each corner flag.
Gibson was short but as well as being skilful he was also very powerful.
Took no prisoners either.
Finest midfielder I have seen down the City
He was part of an excellent Coventry City midfield before he joined us.
Probably one of the most famous, if not THE most famous freekicks of all time was contrived by their midfielders Willie Carr and Ernie Hunt in 1970. I know Gibbo joined us in 1970 but did he play in that game ?
The best that I’ve seen are 1st Ivor Allchurch, 2nd Ian Gibson, 3rd Whitt’s!
Can I pick two...
Ian Gibson and Kav

No ones mentioned Gerry Francis
