Milli Vanilli featuring Patto Banton
Technically this fits the bill. Guitar, drums, bass, vocals.
love it or hate it...they are a great three piece
Rory Gallagher’s band was originally 3 piece but he eventually added a pianist, possibly just for the tours. Saw him twice in the Capitol, Queen St. What about the Police, in the early days ?
Totally agree NYC, much prefer their early stuff.

The Melvins
Often lumped into the grunge this lot were a riff heavy rock band
Was a massive fan up to and including "Without you I'm nothing".
They were THE band for me in my teens....good teen music. Saw them at Cardiff Uni. Fantastic gig.
This is pretty cool...

Blink 182
Yep I was there great gig , first few albums were staggering
Bowie was such an influence on molko
Bowie was an incredible bloke , here he is so into the song its almost like he's a young up and coming artist and molko is the superstar who has influenced so many people is the boss . Humble man .
Molko was a great guitarist and had a real heavy edge when he needed it
But as you say after the first few albums they went too trendy
Their were at their best when molko was singing songs about his sexuality , sleeping with women and blokes , drugs , anxiety and he came on stage wearing make up and wearing a dress
He was backed up by a superb bassist and drummer
Biffy Clyro
Very soft loud band , belted out a right noise for a three piece in their early days
Saw em live several times , very good
Later albums they went very pretentious
But as a young band they were 3 mates who smoked dope , wrote great songs and were great musicians

Off their first album , very mellow then wallop
KINGS X
Very talented band , a gay black guy on vocals and an eight string bass , two Christians on guitar and bass
Saw them at St davids Hall in 88
Fantastic musicians and singers
Heavy grinding guitar on this

https://youtu.be/Bbeezz7Apdk later album
https://youtu.be/f19FQfzly50 a song about racism and everyone coming together to defeat it
Great bass , fantastic guitar , ty tabor is one of my favourite guitarists
