When was the last time 2 Cardiff City players scored for Wales in the same game?
It's not a quiz question. I don't know.
I skimmed back through 50 years of results and couldn't find another example of it happening.
Someone had better find out soon cos I bet WOL are waiting to publish the story as soon as its posted.
Really, only one City player scored...
Phil Stead, author of 'Red Dragons: The Story of Welsh Football', posted following tweet last night which suggests it hasn't happened before:
Pah! We had the first two Cardiff City players ever to score for Wales in the same game.

An interesting fact about two Cardiff City players in one international is that Fred Keenor captained Wales against Scotland who were captained by Jimmy Nelson and the game was at Ninian Park. Not sure if it’s happened since but it was a unique record for years that two players from the same club captained their countries on their home ground. There is a photo of the toss up knocking about somewhere.
It was Jimmy Blair. Think 1924. There's a picture in a book I've got with them shaking hands, but found this on internet

I wouldn't mind getting that 'retro' City top.
I'm pretty certain that last night was the first time that two City players scored for Wales in one match. The best goalscoring performance for Wales by a City player is Mel Charles' four goals against Northern Ireland in 1962.
Question
Based only on the time they were Cardiff City players name four players from the last decade who have scored more international goals in that period than they have or did for the club.
It’s the style of a rugby league top isn’t it. In the Keenor and Blair photo, it does look as though they’re wearing their club socks, pity it’s not in colour. I know it’s a tradition for the Barbarians rugby side that the players wear their club socks, just wondering if international football was the same all those years ago.
Tim Hartley and Russell Todd looking at setting up a Welsh football social enterprise (that will look to connect, inspire, support and resource those working for a better Wales and using - or want to use - football as the 'medium') if anyone is interested: https://twitter.com/ExpoWalGoch

So what other teams have had two scorers for Wales
Utd - Hughes and Giggs?
Bacuna?
