For kids to be able to see their friends, socialise, get on with their education and have some fun. At least the majority of us on here had that opportunity. It's difficult for so many people for so many reasons, but kids and the elderly who are by themselves have probably suffered more than anyone.

Actually more funding for the nhs in general, not run down like it has been for years, would be in there.
1. People realising that a life in debt is not good and to live within their means.
2. People supporting local businesses, and local businesses feeling the benefits of people working from home in satellite towns rather than large cities.
3. People given the freedom to work from home permanently. If it has worked for people since March, then there is no reason for these people to be forced back into an office for anything other than social reasons.
4. Families spending more time together as a result of less time commuting and a realisation that the odd visit to a family member can no longer be taken for granted
5. A pint at a pub with the missus and the kids staying at their grandparents.
Things I am not looking forward to
1. Brother-in-law coming for elongated visits when his cupboard is empty and he's looking for a cheap week of food.
2. Being back in the office for anything more than 1 day in a blue moon. I'll pack the job in if they expect me in an office again.
3. Resorting back to spending a fortune in the gym because it is "nicer" than running outside
4. Pubs and restaurants raising prices because of a few hard months. If prices are going up, then sod them.
5. Traffic jams.
Why are you all keen to go back to the office? I can't think of anything worse than spending 40 hours a week in an enclosed space with people I don't particularly like, and spending £40 a week for the privilege.
Being a manager and new to an area it's nowhere near as effective to manage from home. I'm a people person (most of the time) and my real strength is building relationships with people in a team environment. Remotely this can work ok but it's nowhere near as effective as getting a bunch of people in a room and getting the energy levels up.
I personally would want four days in the office and potentially a Friday off, hate working from home with a passion

I haven't had a beer for soooo long. The third most comsumed drink in the world and I want some!!!
I don't. I've worked with some decent people who I like but, apart from work, we have little in common. Same in school, as soon as I left we had a big bash to celebrate the end of A levels and I pissed off by 8pm and told most of them I was glad to see the back of them.
Friends are people you meet in places you like going to. Football matches, gym, brothels. That sort of thing.
To mix freely with people. For school to start. To travel. To visit and be visited.
Last week I noticed myself being conscious of people in old films and TV shows being too close to one another. I hope that goes away.
