Let's hope it comes to fruition.
Wasn't it Merthyr that had grand plans to have film production studios located there, many years ago?

Be great if this comes to fruition.

Good fishing in the castle lake
What Merthyr needs is a couple of big factories.
I run regularly through the Iron Works and always wondered why they haven't done anything with it when so much money has been wasted elsewhere? Great to see some vision finally being shown.
It did take them though over 20 years for them to get Trago Mills open. I'm not confident I'll see this in my lifetime.
Must be an election due...🤔🤔🤔
The current council leader who usually showers himself in the limelight of any good news stories is currently suspended and must be hoping the May council elections are postponed.

Nothing like using your position to stop a housing support project for care kids because they’re too near your house.
In his defence Luther Lane is an odd place to house the kids. It’s a middle class area off the beaten track, with a mainly middle aged / elderly demographic and not really close to any amenities.
There was also murmerings it was to be used to house young offenders released from prison.
The point is the council leader didn’t declare he lived on Luther Lane and remove himself from the meeting. Actually emailing the director of social services saying the housing project shouldn’t be located there was akin to a murderer waving around a bloodied knife shouting, “I got the ****er!”
We can’t have prison leavers in Luther Lane, let’s ram them up the Gurnos.

Thick as ****.
I see Dawn Bowden still sticking the knife in. Can’t stand her. Didnt she vote against free school meals?
