Not a particularly good record against another side who wins more away than at home.
Tricky. Hope a couple of our missing players are back. Bench was thin last night.

Mr Simpson reffed our loss to Coventry this season.

One home draw to Millwall and an away win at Middlesbrough last season

I hate us playing Preston, they always seem to tuck us up.
I realise they don't always win but it seems like it!!

I remember that 3-0 defeat in 1923 well. Bloody ref cost us 2 of the goals. Both offside by a mile. 😀

That would be Mr D.H. Asson, from West Bromwich. Though I disagree about the goals. Two came from crosses from the by line and the other was a mistake by Farquharson, beaten at his near post. If Keenor's shot hadn't skimmed the crossbar earlier on and gone in, it might have been different, but the general consensus is North End were up for it, and City already 'on the beach'..

Ralls and Hoilett (and Tomlin, Osei-Tutu, Sol and Vassell) still out.

Moore and Murphy maybe a doubt.

    Williams and Ojo back.

Didn't Tomlin play and score for the U23s this week?

Tomlin played 1st half. Provided an assist.
Didnt score himself, did ok, but looked well off the pace

Interesting watching this training video, assume today. Murphy seems ok but no sign of Moore. Noticeable they were concentrating on putting low crosses into the box, not a header in sight.
If Moore is unfit I think the front 3 will be
    Murphy Ojo Wilson

No point putting high ball up to them!

Moore was definitely there - several times.

I did think they had cut some earlier footage into the clip when Vassell was shown on the grass, and at the end when they were leaving the training pitch (the Bacuna, Williams and Philips group is the same as in a training clip from a few weeks ago), and when TC was putting his arm around Murphy - but I think it is probably all today or yesterday. It makes sense that TC is putting time into Murphy, and there is a Williams-Philips relationship from Charlton.

Unless they really have put out some old footage, I am confident that Moore and Murphy will be OK.

You've got better eyesight than me!
Am beginning to wonder if that video was staged as they dont normally put out 2mins worth.

The opening clip has the players in a standing in a circle around Mick. Kiefer is at the back of the group on the right with his foot on a ball. He appears at least two other times later in the clip. I suppose he could still be carrying a knock, but he was involved in the drills.

Yep,you're quite right. If that video was kosher then both Moore and Murphy are ok.
Quite a lively session considering the amount of game time at the moment.

This bounce has to end soon, and Preston always seem to me to **** things up for us.. having said that just can't see us not winning this to make it 5 in a row, as long as Moore plays.

You're getting as bad as me, looking for a 100 and 1 reasons why City are going to lose!
As you say, I suspect a lot depends on Moore playing. So fingers crossed time.

    2-0 City

    Match facts

    • Cardiff have won their last two league games against Preston – last winning three in a row against them in October 1972 during a run of eight successive victories.
    • Preston have kept a clean sheet in each of their last two away league visits to face Cardiff (W1 D1) – they’ve never registered three consecutive shutouts.
    • Since Mick McCarthy’s first game in charge of Cardiff on January 27th, the Bluebirds have won more points than any other Championship side (14), winning four and drawing two of their six games under him.
    • Only Norwich City (9) have won more Championship away games than Preston (8) this season.
    • Cardiff City have scored 21 Championship goals via set pieces this season – at least five more than any other team.
