apparently that is the way it has always been said, and he has never said its wrong.

Why do the commentators pronounce his surname N.G. as in the letter N and the letter G??
It's a Chinese name so surely it's pronounced as in the word "among"??
apparently that is the way it has always been said, and he has never said its wrong.
Maybe that is how Perry himself pronounces the name? Considering he is born/raised British
Also I would like to use the opportunity of him having his own thread to say what a fantastic signing he has been, really big fan
The NG I knew pronounced his name as "ING".
Worked with a Chinese woman before and she pronounced her surname UNG.
Either way, Perry has been a quality addition!
big love ....keep up the great work
He says its N-G, and that's god enough for me
Great signing, he's the best right back we've had in years.
Haven't a clue about the pronunciation, but what a great signing
I've heard an interview, when he said himself that it's pronounced 'En-gee'.
Whatever we paid for him, he's an absolute bargain.
Ng and Flint have turned this side around.
A colleague has a surname spelt the same way and its pronounced En-Gee
Isn’t it great that the threads about the right full back weakness have stopped. The guy is a quality player and a steal of a buy. The 3 at the back gives him freedom to get forward. He’s going to be very popular at City.
Great find and there must be others like him in the lower leagues that could make the move up, I'm sure he is going to be a firm fan favourite when we get back to the stadium
Settled in very well.
