Final score -
Wales 1-2 Ireland
Sam Bowen comes on to make his Under 21 debut with Wales 1-0 up and within a few minutes it's 2-1 to Ireland and stays that way. It was no fault of Sam's though - especially the winner which the commentators said was a freak, but to me looked like a monumental cock up between the Welsh keeper and Liverpool's Morgan Boyes which resulted in an own goal. Rubin Colwill also came on for the last ten minutes and did okay.
Result is a bit of a non story given how long since this group last met up, and it was originally a training camp only, but wish we'd start winning more games at youth level!
Strange old game, only had it on in the background though. Wales goal was quite tidy, then all rather even till Ireland’s goal, then a right howler in communication between defence and goalkeeper. Draw probably a fair result, loss is a little unfair and entirely down to a massive cock up.
